We have many customers often asking for restaurant recommendations, so we decided to put together a blog of our favourites for you to try…
Little Kroma in Wat Damnak
A local favourite, reasonably priced great Khmer food. It’s like dining in your Cambodian mom’s kitchen! Their menu can rival some of the other upscale restaurants offerings only for an average of $2.50 – $4.00 per serving!
Hawaii Pizza on Street 20, Wat Bo
One of the few places left that still has the original Siem Reap vibe of the early 2000s. It’s along the famous Street 20, lined with some of the first guesthouses in Siem Reap. Hawaii Pizza is built in front of a local family’s front yard, with the walls and ceiling made out of nipa leaves. Their chairs are old rattan lounge chairs, but their menu is a mix of western and asian delights. Must tries: Hawaii Pizza (of course!) and their pork chop with mushroom and cream sauce served with mashed potatoes. Yum!
Pizza To Go in Salakamreuk
Got a hankering for a pizza in the middle of a Cambodian rice field? To Pizza To Go you should go then! An old Khmer house turned into a restaurant, it’s a little off the beaten path, but the rewards are priceless. The restaurant faces an open, flat, and depending on the season, lusciously green rice field partnered with the most amazing sunset. Their menu has a wide variety of pizza, including vegetarian, and a small menu of Japanese sushi. Try that for a combo!
For Life in The Lane, off Pub Street
Another favourite in one of Pub Street alleys, this true to its roots restaurants is right smack in the middle of the western designed The Lane. Surrounded by a few bars, a French Cafe and an Indian restaurant, For Life, like Hawaii Pizza, is able to keep their original Siem Reap vibe. Ran by a very friendly local family along the alley famous for it’s original French era building, For Life offers a mix of western and local food for seriously reasonable prices. Want to experience the old Siem Reap vibe? Visit For Life!
If you know of any restaurants which should be added to the list, please let us know, we’d love to try them out!
